Description: This dataset represents the locations and attributes of streetlight assets owned by incorporated cities and maintained under contract by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (DPW), Operational Services Division (OSD). Unlike the County’s standard streetlight inventory, which consists of assets within unincorporated areas, this layer specifically includes streetlights within participating cities such as Lakewood, Carson, La Mirada, and Temple City.Each asset represents an individual streetlight, including its location, ownership, maintenance responsibility, and associated identifiers used for asset management and operational tracking.The dataset supports asset inventory management, maintenance operations, and integration with the County’s Asset Management System (Trimble Unity Maintain / Cityworks), while also enabling coordination with partner cities that retain ownership of the assets.Field Definitions / Attribute Overview:This dataset contains key attribute fields describing each city street light asset. Note that values may be missing as this is an ongoing effort to reconcile and input our asset data. Notable/unique fields for City Street Lights include:CW_ASSETID – Unique asset identifier assigned within the Cityworks / Trimble Unity Maintain system.STATUS – Operational status of the streetlight asset (e.g., Active, Inactive, Proposed).OWNER – Entity that owns the streetlight asset (typically the incorporated city).MAINT_BY – OSD Unit responsible for maintenance.LOCATION – General location description of the streetlight.STREET – Name of the roadway where the streetlight is located.CITY – Name of the incorporated city in which the asset is located.CITYID – Unique identifier assigned by the city for the streetlight asset.CITYPID – City project identifier associated with the asset.C_SUB_AREA – Sub-area or zone within the city used for organizational or operational grouping.EFFTRANSD – Effective transaction date representing when the asset record was last updated or transferred within the system.ICON_ID – Identifier used for map symbology representation.ICON_TXT – Text value associated with map display or labeling.LS – Numeric field associated with rate schedule or internal classificationORIG_INST_DATE – Original installation date of the curb paint asset, when available.
